Note to Our Clients Concerning Current Operations
Due to the continuing and increasing incidence of Covid-19 cases, Whole Body Wellness has suspended our normal business hours as of March 27, 2020. We will resume as the Governor of New Mexico allows. (Please see Emergency Visits information below.)
At Whole Body Wellness, we are dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of our clients and personnel during your visits to our office. Concerning the current coronavirus contagion, we are closely monitoring and following the guidance of both the US Centers for Disease Control and the New Mexico Department of Health.
At this time, if you are a patient of record many of our providers have offered to meet with you “virtually” via telephone or video conference. We are offering a 30-minute appointment at no cost to you. We know that many of you depend on us for wellness support, and we want to continue in that role as we can. If you would like to visit with a provider, below are the steps to follow:
- Step One – Scheduling your appointment: Reach out to us by phone (505-557-6140), or by email (email@example.com) and we will follow up with you to ask a couple of questions so that we can make sure your provider is prepared to make that best use of your time together. If you would like to have a video conference (our recommendation), all you will need is a computer with a camera or a smart phone…and a solid internet or data connection. We will also need a good email address for you.
- Step Two – Confirming your Appointment: We will send you an invitation via email to confirm your appointment. We will also call an hour before your appointment to help as we can with connecting. The emailed invitation will have a link for video, but also a phone number with an access code if you would prefer to connect with your phone. The phone feature will work on both a landline as well as a cell phone – smart or not.
- Step Three – Connecting with your Provider: A few minutes before your appointment, we ask that you “join” the call. The provider will join you or may already be there. Your email invitation will look like the below:
To join the appointment with video, click the link below “Join Hangouts Meet”. And to join the appointment via phone, dial the phone number below “Join by phone” and enter the PIN when prompted.
We, like many of you, are not super tech savvy. So, if you need help getting connected, please call us and we will walk you through it as best we can!!
What can we do for you at a virtual appointment?
Chiropractic Care – Your chiropractic physician can see your range of motion or evaluate the way you are walking and see where you are having pain and develop a plan for self-care options…routines that you can use at home.
Doctor of Oriental Medicine – Yes, they are doctors. A video conference allows your Acupuncture Doctor to see your tongue and recommend various treatment strategies. They, too, can evaluate your physical concerns by observing your range of motion and recommending strategies for self care at home.
Medical Massage Therapists – Your massage therapist can help, too. They, too, evaluate range of motion and recommend strategies for self-care at home. They are experts at helping you to release trigger points with a tennis ball or similar, which can be extraordinarily helpful.
All three of these professionals have strategies for helping with stress, anxiety and feelings of isolation. Some examples would be deep breathing techniques, simple meditation, Quigong (movement), stretching, EFT tapping (a wonderful way to calm the nervous system). They are here to help. Please let us.
Regarding in-person visits?
We also know that many of you depend on us for management of chronic pain that can become severe without regular treatment. We want you to know that we are deeply concerned about you. We have submitted a form to the Governor, as a number of other clinics have, an official request to be allowed to see patients who are in severe pain. We hope to hear from the Governor’s Office this week and will update our website and voicemail once we do. In-person visits would be limited to severe pain and or acute pain from injury.
While we are seeking this support from the Governor, we are committed to doing our part to “flatten the curve” regarding the spread of Covid-19. The best policy is for us all to participate in the course of action mandated by the Governor of New Mexico and stay home.
Once we have permission to see emergency patients, we will update our website with additional information.
If you are new to us, please leave us a message and we will get back to you to discuss options.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of taking care of you!! We are honored!
